With the ProJet MJP 2500 3D printer series, 3D Systems now provides outstanding component quality with MultiJet Printing (MJP) technology in a moderate price segment. The broad range of materials coupled with the simple handling provides an ideal entry-level solution into professional photopolymer 3D printing. With even easier and more intuitive operation, the 2500 series also provides the convincing easy and risk-free model finishing of the familiar 3600 series. Low personnel for operation and finishing make the 2500 series an ideal tool for any design and development department.
The 2500 series impresses with outstanding component quality, very good resolution and an expanded range of materials. The VisiJet materials specially developed for these systems set new standards in terms of haptics and appearance and are even superior to many higher-priced systems on the market.
With a layer thickness starting at 0.032 mm, the 2500 series provides, in a purely nominal sense, only entry-level Z-axes resolution but the inspirational component quality tells another story. Here as with the finer resolution systems of the 3600 line, the controlled material application makes the crucial difference to comparable systems of other suppliers.
The material selection of different VisiJet materials enables the production of components with different colours and different characteristics. The entry-level system ProJet MJP 2500 hereby focuses on the firmly curing materials; the 2500 Plus additionally allows the processing of translucent and flexible VisiJet photopolymers.
As with the 3600 series, the main advantage is the simple and contactless removal of the support geometry.
Here too the wax support material is melted off in the supplied cleaning system. This saves personnel on the one hand, but above all enables risk-free and especially damage-free cleaning of fine component structures and highly complex geometries on the other hand.
We offer the 2500 series also with a 5 year bring-in warranty for the parts of the permanent printhead so that service and maintenance costs stay efficient and calculable from the start.
MJP prototypes can be processed with various methods, e.g. grinding, drilling, painting, coating and others, and make perfect master patterns for duplication processes like vacuum casting.
